Trampers are used by parks, public houses, and public sites all across the UK because of their notoriously high reliability and long battery life. For example, in the picture below, the vehicle on the left was a prototype Tramper made in 1998 and is still in everyday use. During it's life time it's been atop Welsh Mountains, along the Eiffle mountains in German, and its been to the Nürburgring track. Over the 17 years it's only required two servicing.

South Walney Nature Reserve (LA14 3YQ) has its own Tramper on site for use by visitors. People wishing to use the Tramper should telephone in advance to book its use. The telephone number for the reserve manager is 01229 471066. Alternatively contact the Kendal office of the Cumbrian Wildlife Trust on 01539 816300. The reserve is on an exposed site so dress for the weather. Facilities are limited, there is a car park and toilets. Tracks lead around the nature reserve to ponds and hides. A charge is made for visiting the site but use of the Tramper is free of charge.
Tarn Hows( LA21 8AQ) is one of the Lake District’s most popular destinations. A National Trust property with a well maintained all-weather path around the lake giving spectacular views of the surrounding hills. This site has two Trampers available for use. Telephone contact 015394 41456.
The Upper Derwent Valley (S33 0AQ) in the Peak District contains three large man-made reservoirs. The Fairholmes visitor centre is close to the dam for the Derwent Reservoir. Parsley Hay (SK17 0DG) is a small visitor centre just off the A515 south of Buxton. Easy access to the High Peak and Tissington Trails is available from Parsley Hay. Both trails run along former railway lines which used to cross the high ground in the Peak District. A Tramper is available from the cycle hire facility within the visitor centre. Beacon Fell Country Park (PR3 2NL) is a well established site to the north of Preston with clear views over the Fylde and to the nearer Bowland fells. Entrance to the park is free with the car parks nearest the Visitor Centre operating a “pay and display” system. There are designated disabled parking spaces close to the Visitor Centre. There are generally two Trampers available for hire (free) at the Visitor Centre, with sufficient notice more Trampers can be made available for use at Beacon Fell. Cobble Hey (PR3 0QN) is a hillside farm with extensive gardens and impressive views over the Fylde. There is a Tramper available for use around the gardens and on marked trails around the adjacent farmland. Wycoller Country Park (BB8 8SY) is situated at very east of the county near to the Yorkshire border. Lancashire County Council operates the country park. Entrance and car parking are free. The main car park is some distance from the visitor centre. Disabled users should drive past the main car park into the hamlet of Wycoller and cross the beck by the bridge. Enter the visitor centre site and follow the signs for the Aisled Barn. The Aisled Barn is beyond the ruins of Wycoller Hall. Although there are no defined disabled parking places the Rangers or volunteers will indicate where to park if they are asked. There are two Trampers kept on the site and they are available for use free of charge. To use a Tramper it is essential to telephone the country park (01282 870253) in advance to make sure it is reserved. To be sure the correct member of staff is available to hand over the Tramper contacting the visitor centre at least two days before the Tramper is required is recommended. People bringing their own Trampers to use are also welcome. There is a well defined Tramper trail around part of the park. The trail is clearly marked on a free map of the site available from the visitor centre in the Aisled Barn. On the trail itself there are special way marking posts with arrows and clear “T” symbols to indicate the route for Trampers. There are toilet facilities at the visitor centre and there is a privately run café in the hamlet of Wycoller. 2 Trampers available.
Wyre Estary Country Park (FY5 5LR) located alongside the River Wyre this country park has two Trampers available for use by visitors. Witton Country Park (BB2 2TP) Situated just a mile from the centre of Blackburn this large well established country park has a wide range of visitor facilities. There are six Trampers available for use on the extensive trails within the park. The Trampers are located at the main visitor centre which has designated disabled parking spaces. Before travelling to the park it is advisable to check availability of the Trampers. Gibside (NE16 6BG) Situated close to the border between Northumberland and Co. Durham, Gibside is a large National Trust property. The Castle Howard Arboretum (YO60 7DA) is situated very close to Castle Howard. It is a large site with extensive planting of specimen trees of many types. The Arboretum is open from the beginning of March until the end of November. There are two Trampers available allowing the user to access most parts of site and inspect the trees closely.
