The following list is of public sites, stately homes and parks where Trampers can be hired. They were chosen because Trampers are renowned for their reliability, long battery life, and ability to go uphill and down dale. When you have driven one you might think of having your own, so call us on 01794 884766 and we can explain the Tramper benefits. Talking of reliability the Tramper on the left in the picture below was built as a prototype in 1998, but has been in use every day since then! During its lifetime it’s been up a Welsh mountain, the Eifle mountains in Germany, and even round the famous Nurburgring racing circuit.

Dunwich Heath (Suffolk)

Dunwich Heath (IP17 3DJ) is a National Trust site in Suffolk on the Westleton Heath National Nature Reserve. It currently has 2 Trampers, you can call them on 01728 648501.

Croft Castle (Herefordshire)

Tyntesfield House (Somerset)

This National Trust House and Estate is a Grade I listed building located about three miles west of Bristol (BS48 1NT). It currently has 1 Tramper and you can call them on 01275 461900.

Gibside Landscape Gardens (Tyne & Wear)

Wallington Hall & Gardens (Northumberland)

Flatford Hamlet (Suffolk)

A National Trust site (CO7 6UL), this charming hamlet was the inspiration for some of John Constable's most famous pictures, for example, the Hay Wain or Boatbuilding near Flatford Mill among many others. They currently have 1 Tramper and can be called on 01206 298260.

Croome Park & Gardens (Worcester)

Dunster Castle (Somerset)

Dunster Castle (TA24 6SC), near Minehead, Somerset is a National Trust Property. The castle that you see today became a lavish country home during the 19th century for the Luttrell family, who lived here for 600 years. They currently have 3 Trampers and you can call them on 01643 821314.

St Michael’s Mount (Cornwall)

Heddon Valley (Devon)

Saltram Estate (Devon)

Saltram Estate (PL7 1UH) is a magnificent Georgian mansion and tranquil garden lie at the heart of this historic parkland. Once again owned by the National Trust, this site has 1 Tramper and can be called on 01752 333500.

Parke Estate (Devon)

Buckland Abbey, Garden and Estate (Devon)

When you visit Buckland (PL20 6EY), a National Trust site, you follow over 700 years of footsteps; from the Cistercians who built the Abbey and farmed the estate, to seafarers Grenville and Drake who changed the shape of the house and the fate of the country. Lanhydrock Country House & Estate (Cornwall)

Lanhydrock (PL30 5AD) is the perfect country house and estate located just outside Bodmin in Cornwall. It has the feel of a wealthy but unpretentious family home. After a devastating fire in 1881 the Jacobean house was refurbished in high-Victorian style, with the best in country house design and planning and the latest mod-cons. Arlington Court and the National Trust Carriage Museum (Devon)

Golden Cap Coastline (Dorset)

The great rocky shoulder of Golden Cap offers magnificent views at every compass point. On a clear day you can see across Lyme Bay to Dartmoor - well worth the effort of the walk uphill. Located just outside Bridport, they've currently got 1 Tramper and can be contacted on 01297 489481.

Crickley Hill and Barrow Wake (Gloucestershire)

Trebah Garden Sub-Tropical Garden (Cornwall)

Dartington Estate Gardens (Devon)

Dartington Gardens (TQ9 6EL) have a rich sense of history and a host of features to explore – from a Henry Moore sculpture to a yew tree at least 1,500 years old – the gardens at Dartington are often featured in best gardens lists, and are worth exploring all year round. They have 1 Tramper.

The Granite Way (Devon)

The Granite Way (EX20 4HR) is a beautiful purpose built cycle track running between Okehampton and Lydford. Itʼs part of the National Cycle Network route 27 Devon Coast to Coast and runs through Dartmoor National Park. There are spectacular views from Meldon Viaduct and Lake Viaduct, idyllic pubs offering an array of food and of course you can always treat yourself to a Devon cream tea on route. Haldon Forest Park (Devon)

RHS – Rosemoor Gardens (Devon)

The Rosemoor Gardens (EX38 8PH) are a Royal Horticultural Society attraction set in a steep wooded valley, with restaurant and tea room. Located just outside Torrington, they have 2 Trampers and can be contacted on 01805 624067.

Tree Surfers At the Tamar Trails (Devon)

The Tamar Trails Centre (PL19 8JE), outside Tavistock, has an offering adventure activities including hiking, biking, canoes and zip wires, plus a cafe. They have 1 Tramper and can be contacted on 01822 833409.

Tarka Trail - Fremington Quay (Devon)

Seaton Wetlands Centre (Devon)

The Seaton Wetlands (EX12 2DG) are on the Seaton – Colyford road. Take the turning off the A3052 by Colyford Post Office, signposted Axe Vale static caravan park and continue for about half a mile. Turn left into Seaton Cemetery and continue through to the Wetlands car park. Please call before arriving as staff are not always on site, they have 1 Tramper and can be contacted at 01395 517557.

Durlston Country Park (Dorset)

Durlston Country Park (BH19 2JL) is a 1.13 square kilometre country park and nature reserve stretching along the coast of the Isle of Purbeck at Durlston near Swanage in Dorset. They have 2 Trampers and can be contacted on 01929 424443.

Holton Lee (Dorset)

Livability Holton Lee (BH16 6JN) is a wellbeing discovery centre set in 350 acres of beautiful and tranquil Dorset countryside. Moors Valley Country Park (Dorset / Hampshire)

RSPB Arne (Dorset)

Arne RSPB (BH20 5BJ) reserve is a 563.4 hectares nature reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest, maintained by the RSPB and located in Dorset. It was notified as an SSSI in 1986. They have 1 Tramper and can be called on 01929 553360.

Avon Heath Country Park (Ringwood)

Batsford Arboretum (Gloucestershire)

Hestercombe Gardens (Somerset)

Wimbleball Lake Country Park (Somerset)

Tranmer House (Sutton Hoo) - National Trust

Tranmer House (IP12 3DJ) is a hauntingly beautiful 255 acre estate, with far-reaching views over the river Deben, is home to one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of all time. Walk around the ancient burial mounds and discover the incredible story of the ship burial of an Anglo-Saxon king and his treasured possessions. Quarry Bank Mill ( Cheshire)

Quarry Bank Mill ( SK9 4LA) in Styal, Cheshire, England, is one of the best preserved textile mills of the Industrial Revolution and is now a museum of the cotton industry.They have 1 Tramper available for use around the gardens adjacent to the Mill they can be contacted on 01625 527468

RSPB Saltholme (Cleveland)

Saltholme (TS2 1TU)Situated between Middlesborough and Stockton and has an amazing oasis of wildlife. With modern facilities including a café overlooking the site Saltholme will provide enjoyment for the whole family. Level and well maintained tracks around the reserve allow easy access to the hides. South Walnaey Nature Reserve (Cumbria)

South Walney Nature Reserve (LA14 3YQ) has its own Tramper on site for use by visitors. People wishing to use the Tramper should telephone in advance to book its use. The telephone number for the reserve manager is 01229 471066. Alternatively contact the Kendal office of the Cumbrian Wildlife Trust on 01539 816300. The reserve is on an exposed site so dress for the weather. Facilities are limited, there is a car park and toilets. Tracks lead around the nature reserve to ponds and hides. A charge is made for visiting the site but use of the Tramper is free of charge.

Tarn Hows, Boon Crag,(Cumbria)

Tarn Hows( LA21 8AQ) is one of the Lake District’s most popular destinations. A National Trust property with a well maintained all-weather path around the lake giving spectacular views of the surrounding hills. This site has two Trampers available for use. Telephone contact 015394 41456.

Derwent Reservoir (Derbyshire)

The Upper Derwent Valley (S33 0AQ) in the Peak District contains three large man-made reservoirs. The Fairholmes visitor centre is close to the dam for the Derwent Reservoir. Two Trampers are available from the cycle hire facility at the visitor centre. There are various trails up and down the valley from the visitor centre. Parsley Hay (Derbyshire)

Parsley Hay (SK17 0DG) is a small visitor centre just off the A515 south of Buxton. Easy access to the High Peak and Tissington Trails is available from Parsley Hay. Both trails run along former railway lines which used to cross the high ground in the Peak District. A Tramper is available from the cycle hire facility within the visitor centre. Cobble Hey Farm and Gardens (Lancashire)

Cobble Hey (PR3 0QN) is a hillside farm with extensive gardens and impressive views over the Fylde. There is a Tramper available for use around the gardens and on marked trails around the adjacent farmland. Use of the Tramper is free but does require booking in advance by phoning 01995 602643 There is a café serving a wide range of locally sourced food. 1 Tramper available

Wyre Estary Country Park (Lancashire)

Wyre Estary Country Park (FY5 5LR) located alongside the River Wyre this country park has two Trampers available for use by visitors. The park occupies a relatively level site with good car parking and visitor facilities. There are organised events throughout the year. Telephone contact 01253 863100. 2 Trampers available.

Gibside (Northumberland)

Gibside (NE16 6BG) Situated close to the border between Northumberland and Co. Durham, Gibside is a large National Trust property. There are extensive and well defined trails in open country and woodland. Gibside has two Trampers available for use. The site has modern visitor facilities. Wallington (Northumberland)

Wallington (NE61 4AR) is a large country house owned by the National Trust. The house is surrounded by an informal landscape of lawns, lakes, woodland, parkland and farmland. There is a Tramper available to explore the grounds. Telephone contact 01670 773600. 1 Tramper available.

Castle Howard Arboretum Trust (Yorkshire)

The Castle Howard Arboretum (YO60 7DA) is situated very close to Castle Howard. It is a large site with extensive planting of specimen trees of many types. The Arboretum is open from the beginning of March until the end of November. There are two Trampers available allowing the user to access most parts of site and inspect the trees closely. Temple Newsam (Yorkshire)

Temple Newsam (LS15 0AE) is a large Jacobean Tudor Mansion. On the south eastern outskirts of Leeds the site is easily accessed from the M1 motorway. There are a wide variety of facilities situated in the 1500 acre grounds. Four Trampers are available for visitors to use around the grounds. Carsington Water (Derbyshire)

Carsington Water RSPB reserve (DE6 1ST)Owned and managed by Severn Trent Water, Carsington Water is a large reservoir. It boasts a range of wildlife habitats from ancient hedgerows, species-rich wildflower meadows and native woodlands, to pond and scrapes, reed beds and carefully-managed islands. Cannock Chase AONB (Staffordshire)

Cannock Chase (WS12 4PW) was designated as an AONB in 1958 because of its beautiful landscape, its wildlife and its history. Cannock Chase is the largest surviving area of lowland heathland in the Midlands . Lowland heath is an internationally scarce and threatened wildlife habitat. The AONB also has extensive areas of forest and woodland along with areas of designed parkland, sand and gravel quarrying and mixed agriculture. Burnham Beeches ( Berkshire)

Burnham Beeches (SL2 3TE) and Stoke Common are both Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The Beeches is also a National Nature Reserve (NNR) and European Special Area of Conservation (SAC). High Elms Country Park ( BR6 7JH) is an extensive 250-acre public park on the North Downs in Farnborough in the London Borough of Bromley. Lavant Mine & Beam Engine (Cornwall)

Levant Mine and Beam Engine is a National Trust property at Trewellard, Pendeen, near St Just, Cornwall, TR13 9RE England, UK.
